The Kilgoris Project

The Kilgoris Project (TKP) partners with a Maasai village in rural Kenya to educate and feed 1,500 school-age children. We work hand-in-hand with local leaders and families to operate preschools and primary schools, provide daily food and clean water, and create sustainable businesses that help fund our schools.

TKP creates a strong foundation of primary education, getting children into school at the right age, and keeping them there with holistic programs to address educational, health care, and nutritional needs. In TKP’s proven model, all of our 8th grade graduating students are attending high school schools, in a geographic region where 60 percent of students at government schools fail to qualify for high school… and we’re had a several students place in the top five percent nationally.

With its deep, ongoing community focus, and partnership, The Kilgoris Project provides local employment for 90+ people, working as managers, teachers, janitors, cooks and farmers. Parents and local leaders stay involved with school decision making through local school boards. Schools and campuses serve as community centers and churches outside of school for meetings, ceremonies, and services.
